T43 Hulu Performance, worth processor upgrade?

Hi, I have an T43 with a 1.73 ghz processor in my laptop.

Hulu really doesn't play very well it stutters about ever 30 sec. Cpu usage is right about 95%.

Would it help to upgrade to a 2.13 ghz processor? Anyone out there with the Pentium M 770 that has tested Hulu performance?

I'm running windows 7 32bit with the latest drivers and flash 10.2

What GPU have you got, discrete ATI or integrated Intel?
LCD resolution? (XGA/SXGA+/UXGA ?)
How much RAM? (max is 2x1GB)
How much space available on the hard disk? Need minimum 10-15% free.

1GB Ram
200 gigs free on the drive

First of all 1GB RAM doesn't play well with W7.

Secondly, ATi graphics driver is downright crippled for X300/X600 in W7 and you won't get any reasonable results out of it.

If you need serious graphics performance, go back to XP.

Ok thanks for the info. Do you think Hulu will preform signifigantly better in xp? Does anyone have any experience playing hulu on their t43?

Let's put it this way...

In XP, my T43p with a stock graphics driver benchmarks at 47

In W7 it benchmarks at 11.

Higher is better for this particular test.

I don't do games but have some fairly demanding graphic applications of another nature, and there is no comparison - all of them run much smoother in XP...which is a sin, since W7 otherwise works very well on T43/p...

Just an update for everyone... I switch back to windows xp and it did increase the graphics performance but Hulu still seems to be processor limited. Anyone at there with the 2.13ghz processor that has tried HULU? What kind of frame rates do you get? What is your processor usage? Mine sits at 100%
