Issues with Windows 7 on X60 Tablet

#1 Post by Derkach99 » Wed Mar 09, 2011 8:44 pm

I hate to say it but I have ran into some serious problems with windows 7 on the X60t. Today I noticed that when I used the pen or track point I run into issues where I cannot click with the mouse or pen and the only fix that I know of it so press Alt Ctrl Del and click cancel. Once this is done I usually an just a couple clicks away from it happening again. Also does anyone know how to work VLC media player on the X6x tablets? Thank you for your input.

I would uninstall your drivers & reinstall the most up to date ones. As for VLC, it should work right "out of the box". However, I will admit I am using XP Tab, but the X60T is not such a specialized device that you have to force things to work for it. If VLC is not running, perhaps it is incompatible with Windows 7? The nice thing about x60t is virtualization..Windows xp in virtual pc...

VLC works on my Lenovo 3000 n100 with Linux but it does NOT work on my T41 or X31 with 7.
I haven't tried it on my X60s yet.

I freashly installed windows 7 and drivers about a week ago. I believe everything should be up to date. Also I have VLC on several other non tablet computers and it works fine. However when I look around Google it seems to be common to have VLC not work on Wacom tablets.

What OS were you running before - was it working fine? Just need to make sure it's not a hardware issue first.

I am using VLC .8.6 without any issues on my x60T. What version are you using and what issues are you having?

The computer was running Windows XP Tablet Edition 2005 and I recall that is ran flawlessly with both VLC ( and clicking with the tablet pen. However I made an image of my hard drive before I upgraded to Windows 7. Also I am using the latest version of VLC under Windows 7.
