Load ram

I don't know why my 2378-FVU spent too much ram. Start up Window, It spent 200mb of ram, rerrible, too much than Window xp recommmend?

First,I only know a littli english.So,maybe I can't give expression to clarity. :oops:
How mach to computer courses?when 28~38 courses with natural.Find expend RAM to strong course.
Please click "start menu",click "run".key in "msconfig",click "run".kill corresponding course.
Maybe you installed overfull IBM support software.Try to uninstall someone.

How much ram Windows uses depends, in part, on how much ram is in the computer. The more ram you have, the more Windows will use (rather than paging out to the swap file). So as long as you are not running short of ram for other processes, I don't think there is anything to worry about. ... JD Hurst

I disable all in start up but i till used 180mb. Ang it star Window to slow, 1minute. Too slow

I love this. Vietnam, China, Canada and now New York (yes, a country :) )

Windows XP runs better on 512MB and it does take time to boot. When not using the system I simply close the lid and keep it in standby and it starts very quickly. I only reboot every few days.

But if you do that, the batery always use, it mean that the batery will die soon?

If you're on battery a lot, use Hibernate - unless you have more than 1GB of RAM it's faster than rebooting, and it doesn't use up the battery.

Windows used about 100M RAM when start complete.

So What a suprise my T42 used 200mb when start up complete.
