How to configure T500 to "run" my AOL email when.....

clicking on a hyperlink. It currently opens that useless Microsoft Outlook program which I have never been able to figure out (do you have to pay for it??). When I go to Tools>Internet Options>Programs>Internet Programs>Set Programs>Set your Default Programs> HOW DO I PICK AOL EMAIL??? Any suggestions will be extremely appreciated. Cut and pasting hyperlinks is a lengthy process which I would like to avoid. Thank You, regards, Paul

Which OS are you using? And are you using the AOL desktop browser or just AOL on the website?

using Internet Explorer and/or Mozilla Firefox for browsers. I tried what I outlined above on both browsers with the same results. I'm only using AOL for my email account, I don't have this problem on my HP Desktop running Windows XP. Any ideas? Thanks, paul

Pretty sure you need some sort of locally installed client to do that.

You could try asking over in the Windows 7 subforum on here or Lenovo Forum, or get a better answer over on the Windows 7 subforum on MSFN.

go to Tools>Options>Applications>

Under content type there is a 'mailto' option, under the actions for 'mailto' just choose AOL.
