Keep Display On

#1 Post by BruisedQuasar » Fri Mar 18, 2011 8:42 am

Any one know how to stop the AMD 14" Edge from shutting down display? Seems to be a hardware auto display off with 15 minutes no mouse or keyboard activity. Looked over BIOs settings. Couldn't find a Display power setting.

A Second question: In non-IBM\Lenovo laptops I've owned I could press a designated top row key that would power off
the laptop display when I used an external display. I haven't been able to find a way to do ths with my Thinkpads. Is there a way to do this?

Don't know about Edge models, but on all the ThinkPads I've ever used, it was Fn+F3 that will turn LCD off, and Fn+F7 that would toggle between LCD only, LCD+external or external monitor only. Is that what your looking for?

Thank you. I'll try it. What I want to do is shut down the display when I am streaming to a TV with HDMI
