External LCD and Windows 7 (X32, driver posted by Harryc).

#1 Post by miggy » Fri Mar 18, 2011 11:29 am

Hello,

I'm using Windows 7 on Thinkpad X32, with a modified Radeon 7500 XDDM driver ("Harryc" - this topic: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=77964).
An external LCD is active by default, it works as a mirrored output of the internal display. I'm not able to change the resolutions of both displays separately, and I cannot disable the internal LCD and use the second display exclusively.
Presentation Director does not work :)
I would like to use both displays at the same time (1680x1050 22" Dell 2209WA and 1024x768 internal display) or - at least - be able to switch to 22" screen after disabling the X32 screen.
Any solutions?

It's not my driver. I simply put up a link to it.

Would it be possible to get a copy of the driver ? (archive)
The link inside the linked thread seems not working... I'm getting a very strange message trying to download it

For whatever reason the link doesn't work in windows 7 but it does work with xp. I downloaded it with xp and copied it to a flash drive and copied it to a folder in windows 7.

Thanks Harry, that driver works better than the xp driver I was using on the x32's.

I had to use Delorme maps 2008 because 2010 would bluescreen.
Now, 2010 doesn't bluescreen.
