WTB: X61 Shell

I have an X61 with a good LCD, good motherboard, etc - but the plastics are broken .. the base, the upper part and the LCD shell. Anyone know where I can get the parts without paying an arm and a leg ???

I don't know how much your looking to spend, but on Ebay, you can buy the entire shell for $100 + shipping from a seller. I purchased a bottom and palmrest for my X60s from this seller and they were brand new and with fast shipping.

Hard to beat for a brand new shell. With that shell your laptop will be almost literally brand new..

Yeah that's understandable. I only purchased the bottom + palmrest so it was a bit cheaper. I ended up getting a lid for mine elsewhere because they weren't selling a lid for the X60s.

That was the cheapest I could find, but maybe being in the US you might have better luck.

The fact that these service parts are even available is why I love thinkpads so much. So many parts available with part numbers that make sense.

Still looking for something cheaper than the $100 noted above .. Anyone have a trashed X60/X61 with good plastics?
