For Sale: T400 minus screen - $250 shipped

Here's the backstory: I got a T400 with the intent of replacing the screen. I never got around to it. I don't have time to get around to it. So I'm selling it.

Boring story, huh? Yeah, I thought so. But never fear! My lack of free time is your gain: you can get a great deal on a T400 that's just missing a single part.

The specs:

Core 2 Duo P8400
4 GB RAM
no drive (drives available upon request for a small charge)
Atheros A/B/G WLAN (might support 802.11n too, I haven't checked)
4-cell battery

I've booted the machine without the display, and it works just great. The only issue is that it's missing a panel -- everything else is present and tested to be 100% functional. (Oh, and you'll be pleased to know it has one of the flex-free NMB keyboards.)

Adding the panel takes an hour or two if you're patient, so if you've got the time to put one in this puppy you'll end up with a good-condition T400 for a great price. Or you can simply use it as a desktop replacement -- your choice.

Shipping within the US is free. Insurance is optional, but available at cost.
