belkin bluetooth dongle device not found t60

I have a Belkin bluetooth dongle that works fine in all my other puters (t41, intellistation, x40) but will not work in my t60. The device manager says that it is there an working just fine but when I try to get it to find other devices i get an error message l"bluetooth device not found" I have downloaded fresh drivers from Belkin, tired all the fixes I could find. Nothing seems to work. Can't tell if it's a hardware issue or a software issue. Any input is appreciated.
