#1 Post by Indy452 » Fri Mar 25, 2011 8:32 am

Is there a way to make my A22p boot from the USB port?

if you look at the start-up ordering options in the bios, do you see any usb-prefixed items (like usb-hdd, usb-cd, usb-floppy) in the list? if not, then i'd say you can't. not sure if it changed from the a22 to the a31 series, but i'll check my a31p bios tonight and reply back, unless someone chimes in definitively before that.

As best I recall, the A22p didn't offer an option in the bios to boot from USB.

There are some tools that will let you boot from usb, but they run off the hard drive as a stepper, they are also a boot manager. Some of them let you boot off a virtual image. Depending on what you want to boot off usb, they may work. I believe that the easybcd program has one intergrated - maybe try that and see if it works.
