Hello, during my browsing of Lenovo's website I found this page:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-63685
To my knowledge, only ATA HDDs in T43/R52/X41 ThinkPads were impacted by data loss in specific use (old MS-DOS backup utilities) because of SATA-PATA bridge was deployed in that models. Why Lenovo is providing firmware update utility also for native SATA hard disks and do I need to update SATA hard disk firmware in my Ultrabay SATA adapter?
Thank you.
HDD firmware update - why is it required for SATA HDDs too?
