What is a 2672 7WU X31 ?

IBM shows this laptop for sale without ram or hard disk
for $1356.

I have a T40/2G/40G and a 60G HD.

I'm thinking of jumping the T40 ship and going toward a X31
and I was wondering about the 2672 7WU.

That is a CTO model, which means something like "Configure to Order" or somesuch. It is listed without RAM or hard drive, but you have to buy memory and a hard drive to order one. This model simply lets you choose which memory, hard drive and wireless card you want, and order it with those items. The easiest way to order a CTO is to call an IBM sales rep to configure it for you. It will be a lot more than $1356 when you are done ordering one, that is guaranteed.

I just ordered a CTO T43 last week.
