W7 recovery discs are fairly easy to modify to work on other models of the same vintage, never tried modifying XP recovery media though.Easy Wind wrote:are the T60 discs machine/type dependent do you know?

I've actually used T60 recovery media to restore R5x with manual driver updates but that was an XP pro set not W7. My guess is that the original recovery sets are fairly generic.

Thanks for the input David, never tried XP recovery discs, I assumed they protected them from being used on other models like they did for W7.

Hello,
Are these available? Do you have any idea of they would work with my 7764-CTO with a Vista Business COA?
I understand they won't install Vista, but rather XP Tablet Edition?
Cheers
