What Files from Lenovo Site Needed for X60s?

#1 Post by ParatoOptimal » Sun Apr 03, 2011 5:38 pm

I'm setting up an X60s on a newly formatted 250GB HDD.
I've set two partitions, one with Win7 and the other with Ubuntu 10.10.
What files do I need from Lenovo's site to use in Win7?
What files do I need from Lenovo's site for Ubuntu?

Thank you

can't speak to ubuntu as i'm a real novice, but for win7, you might have a look at:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... 62938.html
if you didn't already know about it.

i'd also install tvsu v4x:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-73695
and see what it offers you in the way of win7 drivers. i'm pretty satisfied with what i've installed for my t60p that way. the only outlier is that it didn't offer me any video driver for the ati v5200, so i let windows update handle that. so far, so good.

OK, so that link shows the downloads for the X60s but the Ultranav Driver page linked to that page doesn't list the X60s? What's up with that?

does your x60s have an untranav (touchpad + trackpoint)? my x60t only has the trackpoint.

X60s does not have a touchpad.

No, mine doesn't have it. So, I don't need it.
I just thought it odd that it was listed for my X60s but when going to that driver's page, it isn't listed. It shouldn't be but the previous page contradicts that.
