Desktop USB fingerprint reader, fingerprint Remote Desktop

I've been a ThinkPad-only guy for many years -- if you only have one computer, the stuff you need is never on the other computer -- but I need to leave VMs running *and* still move about and conduct the day's business, so it's time to stand up a desktop.

But I really like my ThinkPad's fingerprint reader. I'm spoiled -- I don't have to type my long personal password very often.

So I'm looking for recommendations for an add-on (presumably USB) fingerprint reader for an Asus desktop running Windows Server 2008 R2. I'm guessing integration with a BIOS startup password is out of the question, but something that gets me through Ctrl-Alt-Del on the local console is sufficient.

Bonus question -- has anyone gotten a fingerprint reader to handle Remote Desktop client authentication?
