T43 Fan noise

I have heard the T42s or T41s are really quiet, but my T43 is noisy. The fan will always run. In addition, the back is hot. Is that normal considering the "more " power consumption of 915 and X300?

Change your power setting to adaptive mode in battery maximizer.

THis will slow down your CPU when not in demand and your notebook will run cooler, thus less fan spin. This will not affect the performance of your computer. Actually it will be better, because components will run cooler.
