Want to Buy - Games to play on T42p

#1 Post by asiafish » Fri Mar 25, 2005 12:37 am

I'm looking to buy some used games to play on my new T42p when I go on military deployment later this year. 1st Person shooters, war games, roleplaying and real time strategy, preferably fairly modern ones that will take advantage of that 128MB FireGL card.

PM me if you have some games you don't play anymore. Max Payne 2 and Homeworld 2 especially wanted.

All time favorite and best strategy game ever made...
Starcraft... it's 10 year old and still going strong.

not exactly modern.. but it beats a lot of modern ones out there.

Here are two games I would reccomend:

Sid Meier's Pirates! - A GREAT remake of an old game. Choose a nationality (spanish, english, french, dutch) then pillage and plunder your weasley black guts out on the spanish main :-) You'll definitely be playing it for hours

Warcraft 3 - Real time strategy game by the same makers of Starcraft. Warcraft has a fantasy-type setting/motif rather than the sci-fi setting/motif of starcraft.... on and all the maps and units are fully rendered in 3D instead of the 2D sprites in Starcraft.... not to mention Warcraft has 4 playable races to Starcraft's 3 races.

Try Quake

Try the Quake 3 demo for free:

if you like it, the game is just another $30 or so. It is entirely too absorbing: I have put in quite a few hours and I still have not finished trying out the demo. When I do get done with all the difficulty options in the demo, I am definitely buying.
