Vertical red line on a monitor - what is the cause

#1 Post by Utwig » Fri Apr 15, 2011 2:10 pm

Hi, I see a T60p for a very nice price online but it has red vertical line on a monitor. Now if the cause of this is simple such as broken LCD cable it would be worth buying it, if the cause is broken LCD, it might not be worth it.

So, what do you think would cause a vertical line?
link to add where line can bee seen on picture on the right.

It looks to me like the LCD has a bad column driver. The only fix is to replace the entire LCD.
