I've just got my first Thinkpad (yes it rocks). However every time I hit ctrl-g the IBM password manager opens up and for the life of me, I can't work out how to disable it. It's really starting to get on my nerves as ctrl-g is a very common keyboard short cut in a lot of the applications I use.
Anyone know how I can disable it?
T42p - ctrl-g opens IBM Password Manager
Huh. Never noticed that until your post. I get the same thing. A window called "collector" comes up.
Somewhere there is a menu tha brings up a list of IBM hot key assignments, perhaps it is set there?

Hi Blockage-
I did some quick checks. Actually we're getting a different window popping up. Mine, titled "collector" is actually a plug-in for the Maxthon www browser I use. Only comes up when I have the browser loaded.
Other times, if I type ctrl-g, nothing happens. So, I apparently don't have the password manager installed or running.
Have you checked-
Access IBM to see if there is something about it there?
Control Panels... Add/Remove... see if it is installed there?
Check the programs that launch when you start up to see if it is a process or service you can eliminate?
Good luck and keep us posted.
