RAM with Cas Latency 4

I want to upgrade the ram on my T60.
I konw that the chipset limit is 3GB, but I dont know if it will support a Cas Latency or 4 ( 4,4,4,12 timing).
Does anyone know if the T60 can support Cas Latency of 4 ( 4,4,4,12 timing)?
If not I guess Ill have to get the Cas Latency of 5 (5,5,5,15) timing).

Since there are no ways of modifying the BIOS to overclock/underclock the machine, there is no point in experimenting that way.
You'd be wasting money.
But if you have SODIMMS like that already, go ahead and try them, you can't do any damage.
Worst case: it may not boot with such RAM.

I was able to confirm that the T60 will, in fact, run RAM designed to run at 4,4,4,12 timings.

The cost of the RAM with Cas Latency of 4 is the same as the RAM with Cas Latency of 5.

I do not see why I would need to overclock anything in the T60, to run ram with a Cas Latency of 4, anyhow. I thought that the memory still worked at the same speed as the FSB (667 MHz) but having a lower Cas Latency of 4 would allow for more memory cycles per machine cycle (667 MHz).

I could be wrong, as I am not a computer engineer. And I would not mind being proved wrong. I would much prefer to have the correct answer for the future.

Run CPU-Z. It will tell you the current memory timing.

Reading the memory timings is disabled on the T60! Even with Everest it's impossible.

CPU-Z shows the current (running) memory timing just fine on my T60 type 8743. However, it does not show the SPD information. Maybe this is what you are referring to?
