Thinkpad T42 won't recognize wireless driver

Hey guys - just registered for the first time. Been going at this computer issue for the past 6 hours, really hope someone will be able to help me out.

I have a Thinkpad T42 2373-L1U on which I just reinstalled Windows XP. Problem is, it's not recognizing any network drivers. Trying to get online on this thing has been the bane of my existence today. I did go to the Lenovo site and downloaded the correct driver which I then unpacked and installed. However, after many rechecks and reboots, the device manager is still showing a yellow question mark and is clearly not recognizing the driver still.

Also tried downloading .NET framework 3.5 and 4.0 in order to run Access Connections, but computer is not recognizing that, either. Basically, I'm at my wits end and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try installing System Update 3.14, and let it find and install the driver.

I thought of that too but installation fails because it can't find the .NET framework I downloaded.

Your Ethernet driver:

After downloading and running it, you must go into C>Drivers>Win>Ethernet and run the setup file from there

the wireless driver (Intel 2200BG):

http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... wc05ww.zip

With this one you might have to go into C>Drivers>Win>Wlanint and run the setup from over there.
