Question about "mobile broadband ready"

#1 Post by khaoohs » Thu Apr 21, 2011 12:54 pm

I currently have a verizon mifi device. I am considering a T520, what would be my best option for an integrated Verizon compatible mobile broadband card that I could just transfer the number from my mifi device to an integrated Verizon device in the laptop?

What DOES "mobile broadband ready" even mean? It has the antennae but no cell card? It has a cell card but isn't activated?

Thank you for any light you can shine on this subject.

Yes, mobile broadband ready means it has the required antennas but not the interface card.

As far as I can see there is no SIM card slot. If there is one I missed it. (I have a T420)

Not sure about the T420, but on my T410, it's in the battery compartment. You have to remove the battery to access it.
