Hp bluescreen windows 7

#1 Post by Me2 » Wed May 04, 2011 12:37 am

I have a Hp pavilion dv6-3250us with Windows 7. I got a couple of blue screens. My guess is it's something with the wireless but how do I fix it? I know this isn't a thinkpad question but it seems like a common issue with windows 7 and I don't know where else to post the question. Anyway here's the information from the blue screen:

Problem signature:

Try updating to SP1 and installing all other Windows updates. There are a number of reliability fixes in SP1 and other various updates.

I searched Google for Windows 7 SP1 and found that it has caused fatal errors for some?

I realize that this is in the UK and that it may not be legit however it does concern me.

I had no problem with installing SP1 on Windows 7 Professional on my new X220 [I understand the SP1 now comes on the X220's]
