*SOLD*: Z61p - WUXGA, 2.16GHz C2D, 120GB, 2GB, CDRW/DVDRW

**SOLD** to a forum member. Thanks!

Here is a WUXGA Z61P in good condition. The keyboard has some modest shine, no lettering worn off, not bad at all. The Panasonic battery holds 47.10Wh of it's original 56.16Wh capacity after 548 cycles. The LCD is beautiful, bright and sharp with no dead pixels, or any other flaws that I can see. There are some slight scuffs and scratches on the top of the LCD lid. And, there is a small stress fracture on the bottom near the battery compartment, nothing broken off, just cracked. Also, the rear USB port is missing the plastic insulator, so should not be used, the two USB ports on the side work fine. It also has IEEE 1394 Firewire port and S-Video out port.

Included will be the original Lenovo AC adapter, Service and Troubleshooting Guide, Safety and Warranty Guide and unpacking poster. And the nice, roomy, multi-compartment carry bag seen in the pictures.

Product: ThinkPad Z61p 9450-CTO

Two quick questions on this interesting machine:

a) Titanium lid or a black one?

b) Are you certain that the screen is Hydis? I've never seen a Hydis WUXGA, and HMM/parts list for Z61p doesn't mention that option either...

Best of luck with the sale.

a) The lid is black...

b) The LCD description came from a serial number parts look-up. Which show the following:

13N7197 13N7198 FRU-15.4 WUXGA LPL BOE HYDIS SECONDARY

Interesting...parts list shows that FRU as LG Phillips... :?:

At your convenience, I'd appreciate if you could shoot a couple of pictures to tataslonATaol.com....no rush on my end.

TIA.

Price reduced and a few (overexposed  ) pictures added. And I'm now including a carrying bag.

Hydis made a WUXGA for the Z series?

Huh.

Could you (or whomever buys it) take a quick peek at the EDID and see what the model of the screen is?

I have a Z61p with a 1920x1200 LCD. It's the best laptop I've owned and this price in this thread is a steal.

Well depending on the panel, I may indeed take advantage of this... :D

Thanks to Rob for suggesting reading the EDID data. The Panel is LG Phillips LP154WU1-A1K6 just as George pointed out from the parts list. Looks like we found an error in the serial number look-up. Doesn't really matter who the manufacturer is, does it? We all know it's not a Flexview screen, but it is a very nice looking display none-the-less.

Well, if ThinkRob decides not to buy this laptop, I will. Sounds like a good unit at a good price. And yes I did register just to post this. Been lurking for quite a while but I have been using this site as a reference and never bothered to register.
