boot from usb on x200

#1 Post by repke95 » Sun May 08, 2011 10:47 pm

I bought a used x200 about 6 months ago. I wanted to re-install windows 7 due to some OS issues but when I hit F12 when booting I only get my hd and the pci port as options. I've moved windows onto a sd card which then is inserted into a usb reader using navcorp wintoflash. Is this not a bootable option or do I need to change something in the boot menu?

Thanks,
Chris

I don't know about your flashcard, but I booted from my external optical drives many times on my X200.

Maybe the __00 generation SD card readers aren't bootable? I remember vaguely trying on my T400. I heard that the __10 generation SD card readers can though.
