Hi,
I dock my T60p in an advanced dock, which is connected using DVI to an external monitor. It has become very annoying that Windows defaults to the setting "Duplicate these displays", thus stretching the default resolution of the external monitor (1920x1200) to the laptop lcd (2048x1536). When I select "Extend these displays", everything is fine, but my gripe is that it doesn't use this as the default setting.
Any hints as to what might be done to achieve this? I'm using the default W7 driver for FireGL V5200 (without CCC it seems).
I figure many corporate users might be bothered by this too. I just found this rather pathetic information: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... a5e27c9bfb
But since that the reply gives the following link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... e-monitors it leads me to believe there is some sort of registry setting to define this somewhere. I.e. desktop computers would default to display extension, while laptops would default to display duplication.
