I'm trying to get my T60 to output mono sound when speakers are plugged into the headphone jack. In Windows XP, changing the "Speaker setup" setting to "Laptop mono speakers" doesn't do the trick. The jack still sends out a stereo signal, and my lone speaker only outputs the right channel.
I'm thinking a new driver version may have more options for this sort of thing. The one I'm using, and the one posted on Lenovo's T60 drivers page, was released in 2006 (5.10.1.4326). I'm wondering how I might go about finding a non-Lenovo driver for the audio device.
Also, if anyone has any other ideas about how to output mono sound in this way, please let me know.
