200773U T60 LCD Screen (UPDATE 5/19)
200773U T60 LCD Screen (UPDATE 5/19)
Hi folks,
The screen on my T60 with 15" screen is starting to develop some blue spots in random places so I guees it's time to begin looking for a replacement. The one seller I saw here on another thread with the UXGA screens is sold out and looking on ebay there are various types WSXGA, WXGA.
What would be the best option for a replacement, at least better than the original screen that came with this T60 (not very bright).
Thanks,
Juan

Re: 200773U T60 LCD Screen
Your machine originally came with a 15in 1400x1050 LCD, that's SXGA+. You can replace it with any 15in screen made for the T60, including XGA SXGA+ or UXGA, but NOT WXGA or WSXGA. Anything that begins with a "W" is for wide-screen models and won't fit your chassis.
The SXGA+ and UXGA Flexview screens are considered by many to be the best ever offered on ThinkPads, but they may not be as bright as other panels, such as the XGA TN ones.
You will just have to decide what is most important to you in terms of resolution, viewing angle, color accuracy and brightness, then go from there.

Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E

Thanks Neil, I'm looking at a "NEW 15" UXGA LCD SCREEN FOR LENOVO T60p 13N7075 Glossy" on ebay with a 1600x1200 resosolution and 30 pin connector just haven't pulled the trigger on it until I'm sure it's good quality.Neil wrote:Your machine originally came with a 15in 1400x1050 LCD, that's SXGA+. If it's glossy, it's not an original Lenovo LCD...don't buy it.

Re: 200773U T60 LCD Screen
hey just wanted to say thanks to cgsplcd and the folks who recommended him here
I ordered the screen on Sun 5/15 from him and it was waiting for me on Wed 5/18 at my door, and this was all the way from Taiwan!!. My T60 has never looked better with the UXGA HV150UX1-101 screen, installation was easy , everything works perfectly, it's much brighter and a big plus going from 1400x1050 to 1600x1200. Beautiful just beautiful!!!!
