X220 Screen Problem
X220 Screen Problem
On my screen there is a very thin white band all along the left side and I can't get it to go away. Is there any way I could maybe shift the screen a little to the left to make it disappear?

Re: X220 Screen Problem
This is, apparently, a very common problem; and has been mentioned many times on another forum. No solution has been suggested.Dizzle wrote:On my screen there is a very thin white band all along the left side and I can't get it to go away. Re: X220 Screen Problem
It is very likely caused by the stupid over-hyped LED backlight. That's why most of serious monitors still rely on WCG-CCFL backlight because the LED backlight is not able to deliver similar quality yet in terms of uniformity.DUTCHvanAtlanta wrote:This is, apparently, a very common problem; and has been mentioned many times on another forum. This makes me think of reconsidering to buy the X220 because of the display. Is the X201 + AFFS display mod (with good old CCFL) better option ? Moreover I'd get more vertical resolution.
