How can I install windows 7 again on a new hard drive?

#1 Post by izomax » Wed May 18, 2011 4:04 am

I have a new hard drive (different drive size then the one on X200).

I was wondering if I can use the Recovery Disk to restore to the new drive?

If not how can I install windows 7 again that came with the laptop?

insert new HDD and use the recovery CD..
it'll rebuild everything like fresh from the factory..

^^^
not if you're using the appropriate recovery set. when the reimage is complete, you'll be all activated and ready to go.
