FS: Advanced Dock, SATA Ultrabay hard drive adapter

#1 Post by sysiphus » Sat May 21, 2011 4:45 pm

Personal/financial reasons mean I've got to let go of all my Thinkpad stuff, and so I figured I'd give the TP community first crack at it before it heads off to eBay.

T60p (2613-CTO) SOLD
------------------

Thinkpad Advanced Dock (works with T60, T61, T400, etc...)

Looks pretty much like new, comes with both keys, and will ship in original box. Not much really to say about this one. Fan's a bit noisy, but they all are on these. $75 shipped to the US.

SATA Hard Drive adapter

Works in T4x, T6x, etc etc. This is the one with the sloped edge to match the T4x machines, but it works perfectly in a T6x as well. I just used it in my Dock. $35 shipped to the US. Can throw in a 100GB 7200RPM drive for an additional 15 bucks if wanted. Will ship in original box, unless you want to buy the dock also, in which case I can combine them in the Dock box to save money.

Feel free to ask any questions; I've recently sold two R51s on the forum, and before that sold a T60 here in January. All transactions were smooth on both ends, with good feedback. Additionally, I've got some 69 positive feedback (100%) on eBay.
Reasonable offers will be entertained, but no trades--if I could afford to take hardware instead of money, I'd just be keeping this stuff :(

This is the standard aspect ratio screen. (non-wide)

Which part is the SATA HDD Adapter? Also I read on ThinkWiki that the first-gen one of these is supposed to have a plastic piece that prevents its use in a T4x but this can be removed with e.g. a Dremel tool and will fit both T6x and T4x. Have you done this mod or did it come modded, or is this info not accurate? is this IBM OEM or third party? Thanks.

The FRU is 26R9246. I have not modded the device in any way. So far as I know, it's IBM OEM, as it's labeled as such an came in original IBM box/packaging (which I'll ship it in). Haven't used it in anything but a T60.

(Bought it off eBay from a reputable seller, represented as OEM--give how it looks/the packaging/performance, I assume this is the case).
