T23 keyboard space bar

The spacebar got sticky - didnt work without much fiddling

I bought another keyboard on ebay

It has exactly the same symptom

Question - is this failure common? is it likely that i just got another bad one, or is it possible that something deeper in the system is causing the problem?

any advice/opinions welcome
