HELP formatting and installing OS in mSata SSD

Hi, I just installed an mSata SSD into my X220. Can anybody quide me through the steps required to format the drive and install windows 7. (preferably the factory image).

Did you make the recovery discs?

The X220 doesn't have an optical drive. I did that in an ext. hdd if that helps...

Ok, i found it. I had to take out the original hhd in order to be able to see my external HDD... But now i have another issue... Although the system "flies" (boots in 13'') after a couple of minutes it "freezes" for about a minute and then it rocks again with no other issues or freezing again. This is happening though consistantly every time i reboot.. Any ideas? Do you think has to do with the SSD?
