sorry but I check lenovo overview page and the X200 only accept 4Gig of memory on 64OS also I see they can have as big of a processor i7 so has any one been able to install a i7 and more important can the memory be increase also perhaps to 8Gig ?
with a newer BIOS? let me know please.

You can run 8GB of RAM, but you can't upgrade the CPU because the CPU is soldered onto the systemboard, just like every other IBM and Lenovo ultraportable.

If you're looking for a performance bump, getting a SSD is probably path to getting it. Unless you push the CPU frequently, it's unlikely you'd notice a difference between a Core 2 Duo and an i7.
