I'm running a T61 with Windows 7, and I want to know if there is a way to stop the power manager from constantly readjusting the brightness? I want it to either leave it alone, or dim it slightly when on battery (then restore it to where it was when I plug it in). Instead, it adjusts it to the the preset setting in the power manager every time it comes out of sleep, restarts, or changes between AC and battery. The problem is that I don't always want the same brightness when on battery, or when on AC. I adjust the brightness for the lighting conditions in the room, and I want it to stay where I set it.
Uninstalling the power manager makes it behave the way I want it to, but then I lose some features I like such as the battery gauge, and the ability to see the condition of my battery.
