change priority on wireless /ethernet on X220i

#1 Post by AbeW » Sun May 29, 2011 7:24 am

Hi,
I have an X220i and my wireless connection always stays on eventhough I connect my ethernet cable.
I would like it to switch to ethernet as soon as I plug in my cable. and switch back to wireless as soon as I unplug my ethernet cable.
Does anybody know how to do this?
Thanks
Abe

You can set up an Access Connections profile to use "best available" network (that usually means the fastest nominal link speed). That will automatically switch from a WiFi to a wired connection when it detects that a working Ethernet connection is available on the Ethernet port, and will switch back again if the Ethernet cable connection ceases to be connected to a working Ethernet port.

Cheers,
