WTB: Windows 7 (whatever version except “Starter”) for a T60

I recently bought a nice T60 (as a present intended for a forum-friend, who is living in the USA), and I wish to upgrade the OS from the current Windows XP Professional to Windows 7 before handing it over. In relation to this I am searching for a single copy of Windows 7 – all versions except “Starter” are of interest, although I absolutely prefer the cheapest, probably being “Windows 7 Home”. I only need one copy, but it must be purely legal, and it must come with an installation CD and a serial number (or COA) – it is very important that the OS will not stop working some day, if being an illegal copy! The T60 in question has the ATI X1300 GPU, and will (hopefully!) be upgraded from a T2400 (Core Duo) to a T7200 (Core 2 Duo) CPU, so in principle 64-bit versions of Windows 7 are of interest, although a 32-bit version is perfectly fine (again: The cheaper, the better).

I know that Amazon.com has recently sold the Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack (3-User) (Microsoft item number: GFC-00236) for USD 109.99,- (and Dell even offered it for $ 99.99 a while ago!), but Amazon unfortunately raised the price to $125… Anyway, what would be ideal for me was, if available, one copy of: “Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack (1-User)" which I guess/hope would amount to something on the order of $30, unless someone perhaps has an entirely free copy available for me?! Please don't hesitate for one instant, in such case...
