My T400 (And Minimalistic Desk) [PICS]

#1 Post by hunterman223 » Fri Jun 03, 2011 3:06 pm

Hopefully a few people will enjoy these, even though my camera is showing it's age. :x An excuse to upgrade! :)

Here they are, click the thumbnails for a bigger picture. (Resized to 800x600)

T400, now featuring new palmrest and on Monday, a new keyboard. I must say, a very nice looking ThinkPad. :thumbs-UP:

Notice that fancy new Windows 7 decal.

Worn corners... Grrr. Still looking good though!

This would definitely be my favorite angle if I had the camera to back it up.

See what I mean by minimalistic? There's simply nothing there! Notice my docking station, the silver USB wire. 8)

Update: I recieved a new keyboard from Lenovo on Tuesday. It is a Chicony with the solid backplate, compared to the T61 NMB from the pictures above. I actually prefer it to the NMB, it seems to be stiffer and less mushy, but is is clackier. You will notice it matches the color of the ThinkPad casing exactly, whereas the NMB is just a tiny bit on the lighter side of black.

Update 2: I picked up a pair of Logitech X-140 2.0 speakers. I was going to get some Logitech Z323 2.1 speakers, but I thought the bass would drown out the mid-range and was afraid I would bother the neighbors. So instead I got these:

Almost as tall as the lid of my T400! Definitely larger than I was expecting, but they sound great. The best 14.99 purchase made in a very long time.

I seem to say this a lot, but sorry for the bad picture. I need a new camera. Anyways, I like the way they match the ThinkPad. The metal grill makes them look rugged (and they are) and the overall black look makes them look clean and professional.
