SOLD! *MINT* 15" T60p, T7600, V5250, stunning SXGA+ FlexView

#1 Post by ajkula66 » Sat Jun 04, 2011 9:49 am

the basics:

ThinkPad T60p 2007-YS3

Original description: Based on 2007-CTO:
T7600(2.33GHz)
2GB RAM
100GB 7200rpm HD................please read below
15in 1400x1050 LCD..............stunning FlexViews, bright and flawless
256MB ATI FireGL V5250
CDRW/DVDRW
Intel 802.11abg wireless
Bluetooth
Modem
1Gb Ethernet
UltraNav
Secure chip
9c Li-Ion
WinXP Pro..........................COA intact

I've got a couple of these late-model (hence the SXGA+ and not the UXGA LCD) T60p beauties that can only be described as dead mint. As nice as these come nowadays, unless you find one that has never been taken out the box. If you were looking for a top-shelf 15" T60p, grab one of these - seriously. There is barely any wear on the lids and bottoms, and the plastics look unused. No shine anywhere. The screens are bright and downright flawless.

The machine # 1 will come with a 320GB/7200 rpm hard drive, and a brand new (1 cycle) 9-cell battery. Yours for $450 shipped within U.S. or $425 + actual shipping cost almost anywhere else. S O L D to a forum member.

The laptop # 2 comes with a 160GB/7200 rpm hard drive, 9-cell in green condition with 5 cycles. Yours for $435 shipped within U.S. or $410 + actual shipping cost elsewhere. S O L D to a forum member..

Unit #3 has the slightest of shines on the touchpad, will come with either 320/7200 or 500/7200 Samsung drives (both brand new with 3 yr warranty) and a 9-cell in green with 26 cycles - yours for $435 with the former or $450 with the latter, shipped within U.S.

If you choose to pay with PreyPal, the fees are on you.

These babies have the newer "ThinkPad" logo on the lid and palmrest instead of the old IBM one.

All units have a fresh install of XP Pro with recovery partition intact. I can ship with a blank hard drive and a set of recovery media for those who prefer to do their own install.

No warranty remaining from Lenovo, but I will guarantee them against DOA and to arrive as described.

PM or email me directly to tataslonATaol.com with any questions/concerns.

EDIT: after dr_st's question about LCD manufacturer, I pulled the parts lookup and got nowhere. However, moninfo identifies the screen on the machine # 2 as LG Phillips (L150E05-A2).

As top of the line as it gets (except perhaps SXGA+ instead of UXGA), but some might actually prefer it. :)

George, do you have a way to check whether these use the common LG SXGA+ panel or the rare Hydis one?

If these T60p's are original, unmodified Thinkad's, then a "Parts Lookup" (via the model/type numbers and the serial numbers) will give the P/N and the FRU of the LCD... the rest is either evident or require a bit of Googling. :thumbs-UP:

They are the "real McCoy", but what do you do with an LCD Mfg part # 41W6707 and FRU 0000000 that does not seem to exist, other than in Parts Lookup?
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)

ALL of the units I received in this batch appear to be dead stock apart from the hard drive portion...

George:

While trying to Google the manufacturer of the 41W6707 LCD, I came across the same thread as you are making reference to; LCDs on T60/T60p - types, availability and other discussions and in this post (by my, taa-daa!, famous LCD-expert countryman, Troels!) a link to the free program Monitor Asset Manager 2.6 is made. I just downloaded and ran "Monitor Asset Manager 2.6", and certainly; it provides more specific information about the LCD in my T60-FlexView than other programs I have been playing with before. You might want to run this program, just for fun - and for your continuous education!

Good luck with the sale of this superb ThinkPad! :thumbs-UP:
