My Vet's T42p

#1 Post by emtee3511 » Wed Jun 08, 2011 6:09 pm

Unhappily I had to meet my vet at the barn yesterday to see about having my horse x-rayed because of a lameness issue. The good news was that after exam and x-rays, horse will be fine with farrier visit and special shoes. The only fun part of the exam was when Vet brings into the barn what is clearly high-dollar equipment from her van, including x-ray apparatus. After she sets up the x-ray equipment, she opens her hard-shell computer case to reveal her Thinkpad T42p -- I'm somewhat of a sissy when it comes to my pets/animals, so I wasn't having too good of an afternoon. Seeing the T42p was kinda like seeing an old friend. Vet proceeded to x-ray horse, while T42p prompted her where to place hooves and when each x-ray was complete. By the time I had horse back in stall, Vet was ready to show me full set of x-rays on the T42p and set up a treatment plan for horse --

The real workhorse here was the T42p :) awesome!

Sorry to hear about the expensive vet bill, but thanks for sharing the T42P story. Your Vet has good taste in hardware ;).

"Your Vet has good taste in hardware."

I agree, Harry -- seeing the T42p showed she invests in good equipment -- made me feel more secure about her treating my horse -- haven't got the bill yet -- hoping not to get hit too hard in that department -- we'll see...

I'm glad I'm not only one who checks out other peoples ThinkPads when I'm out and about... :D
