New IBM ThinkPad T43 soon to be unboxed!

Hey all,

For those of you who like to see the unboxing of a fresh IBM ThinkPad, I will soon be receiving my IBM ThinkPad T43 that I ordered from Amazon.com. It will be here soon, and when I get it, I will post a video on YouTube of the unboxing. I purchased the ThinkPad as not a Used or refurb, but brand new, never opened before. So we will see how it turns out.

Expected shipping arrival date is June 13th according to USPS, I kinda wish they would use FedEx, I have had some crappy experiences with USPS in the past, but whatever.

It was an off-lease ThinkPad that was never taken out of the box, the company never had any use for it. As for pictures, when I ordered it, it was the only one left, and the listing has been deleted from Amazon. But I will gladly show you pictures of it upon its arrival. I am so excited, it should be here much earlier too, I found out the carrier is UPS, not USPS. YAY!

Interesting. I hope you don't mind me asking, but how much did it cost? Just wondering if it was significantly cheaper than a T43 when they were originally marketed...

The price of the laptop was $145.00 but the shipping was quite expensive, so it added an extra $11.79 to the price, so over all it cost me $156.79 which is not bad at all, especially since this is the model T43 with integrated BlueTooth.

That's an amazingly good price! What are the specs? Does it have 1400x1050 resolution?

@Pianowizard Not sure, the specs were as follows: Intel Pentium M 1.86GHz, 512MB RAM, 40GB HDD, 802.11a/b/g Integrated Wireless, BlueTooth, 14.1" Screen (Not sure of resolution) and that's all I got for right now.

In all honesty, less than $12 for shipping in a genuine box is a steal.

As is the rest of the deal...even for a used T43, let alone an unused one.

It is not uncommon for UPS to be expensive, but yes, even if this is the original box, I suppose even $11 shipping is rather cheap. But, this T43 is replacing my T43p that I used to have before it was stolen (Somebody must love ThinkPads more than I

) I have been unable to find a decent T43p for months, so I will settle with a regular T43.
