Nice pics. The T60 is a nice looking machine and it looks like it is in great shape.

If you have been using it for a while, there may be a diffrent texture under the stickers, which may or may not bother you (on my T61, there is a very obvious diffrence). If it is new/not used much, then it is probably a good idea to take off the stickers before it wears around them.

BTW, that is a nice looking system, I miss the thin bezels around the 4:3 screens.

I usually rip em off when I get em (after stockpiling the originals off of eBay), on old machines I like to restore to like new condition, stickers and all :P

My T60 1952AP2 and dock

Looks like it went well. I just removed a cruddy old POS Vista sticker from my palmrest. It took around 30 minutes of gentle scrubbing and soaking with warm soapy water to do it. I was of course taking my time as I ruined the previous palmrest by trying to scratch off the residue with a flat head screwdriver in frustration. I don't recommend it. I'm sure it could be done quicker and easier with something like Goo-Gone though, but it turned out pretty darn nice.

I decided to replace the Vista sticker with a Windows 7 one. You would not believe how much newer that little Microsoft advertisement made it look. :) I got quite a few comments on it; "is that a new laptop?" (by people who don't know their ThinkPads mind you :p )

Thinkpads don't age. a 2006 looks the same as a newer one except for not being wide screen in my case. or the lack of the awesome tri color IBM logo.

Heh. I ripped off my stickers a few months in. The Centrino one went on my extra long power adapter, the Vista one onto my TI-89, and the Energy Star one onto an external hard drive.

That also explains why you needed that new palmrest.
