Has anyone with an X60-series laptop utilized any of the cooling pads on the market, and if so, with what success? Do some "fit" our small footprint better than others?

Can someone tell me if the pads on top of the heatsink of the T43 are for cooling or for isolation? I would like to know if they act as heat...

Both me and the missus have a T410. I swapped my 520m for a 640m last year and did (probably) a bad job applying cooling paste on mine. Using Noctua...
