I keep a T61 running Win7 in a dock in a remote closet with the lid closed, and access it via a remote control app (radmin).
Before I got the T61 I had a ... umm, I forget, but it was an older Lenovo running XP, also in a dock, also accessed remotely.
Somehow, in the previous configuration, I was able to add a second monitor to XP (I think it was just called 'default monitor') and when I connected with the remote access software I was able to set the resolution to be much larger than the laptop screen could support (the laptop lid was closed and so, presumably, the monitor was turned off), and was able to take advantage of that on the larger screen I was using to do the remote control.
Now, on this new setup running Win7, I cannot figure out how to add a second monitor supporting a higher resolution. I seem to be limited to the default/max resolution of the T61.
I realize this is probably a Windows question rather than a Lenovo T61 question, but was hoping someone might have a thought...
Thanks!
