R40 Hard Drive?

#1 Post by MikaelD » Tue Jun 21, 2011 2:27 pm

Hello, first time poster.

I recently got hold of a R40 (2681-HSG). While old, it will suffice for my current needs, assuming I'll manage to put in a decent hdd. I've read up on several sources regarding compatibility (including the forum FAQ and similar threads) but I'd like a definitive answer with this case/model before I buy anything.

I found a Western Digital (160gb) with the following specs:

...and was wondering whether it would do (thinking it will but a bit paranoid about the actual physical dimensions).

Thanks in advance and kudos on the very nice forum you've got going. :)
