Weird Shipping Stories

So, for those of us that buy/sell a lot of things online, I am sure we've seen our share of shipment oddities over the years. I had to laugh at the UPS status on a recent SSD order I had . :) Apparently my package went through tornado's and a train derailment (while traveling backwards across the US) and is still due to arrive on-time. :bow: All Hail to UPS :bow:

Wow Harry;
Not sure I can TOP that ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

However , I bought a TP machine back in 2008 From Lenovo USA website(t61p I think) I think for my home use in USA....
and last week I got an EMIAIL notification from UPS SHIIPING ALERT .....included were ALL THE EXECT DETIALS (time date route stops etc etc) all matched to THE ACTUAL EVENTS back in 2008.... and end of that email ALERT advised " sorry for the delays due to "BAD weather and unforseen conditions" lol lol ....

The tracting Number = 1Zxxx....x456 (NOT actual number)
So I while I had that email OPEN - I decided to actually goggle that tracng number > and also call UPS 800 number...... and to my suprise the lady advised me " sorry for this terrible delay in getting the package to you!" I said NP..... so when is it REALLY getting to me ???? LOL LOL :she put me on Hold " let me check something" ,,, and after 45+ mins the lne cut off!!

So than I called LeNOvo Customer Service ; seems the guys in India were very puzzelled as they also say that " the ORDERr being generated in Australia but shiipping address to USA and not sure WHY"..... SUPRISE SUPRISE ,,, ANSWER = order is in process as order status = "in process" ........ :?: :help:

So I advised the guy :
I got the package loooooong time ago , have used the laptop for 2+ yrs and now its with my nephew at college in EUROPE and its OUT OF WARRANTY RECENTLY (after being repaired by lenivo 2 mths ago at the depot!!!)) ....an so am "waiting forward to see that NEW LAPTOP soon!.... lol lol

sudeely am on hold and a different voice comes on , asn aks me details of ship to address etc etc ,,, and advised me , "WE WILL EMAIL YOU SHORTLY of the results "

And I hang up ....



FYI.... just copy/paste that tracking number @UPS tracking weblink and it says " data removed by sender!"


not sure where to mess is heading to but am NOT EXPECTING any NEW T61 anytime soon from LENOVO !!

I also got feedback from UPS Customer Service:
" The Sender has asked us not to revel any detials - as it might be FRAUD INVOLVED by THAT CUSTOMER !

Wow Lenovo !!

maybe they should be looking at THEIR OWN security ; especially in Xhen'zen; (IMHO......this sucks thats a 'customer ' is always suspect and noone seems to bother with INTERNAL SECURITY BREACHES @ Lenovo!)

Subsquest calls to UPS - they seem to think its a BOGUS email - phising - info as it seems when i download that email to HARD DRIVE ad REVIEW of CODE ON THAT EMAIL = seems to revelal " embedded JAVA & XML codes

EMAIL FORWARD (in zipped format) to UPS Security

.................... and seems lenovo didnt even care - call to their CS Dept = "not sure who is the right person - so pls attached that info to info.@xxxxxx.com (lenovo webmaster feedback it seems!!!)

Ah well ... all in a days waisted work ,,,,, on goes the gravy train !
