Font display issue with T420

#1 Post by bigskydream » Mon Jun 27, 2011 11:37 am

Just got my T420 with 1368X768. I know most of you would not recommend this resolution, but it feels better on my eyes.

However, I've noticed that some fonts that displayed fine on my old T42 (1024X768) look horrible on this new T420. I've seen it in Internet Explorer and also in Powerpoint. I also see it when I connect to an external display.

Any idea what this is? Could it be a video card issue?

Here is what some of the fonts look like. A lot of them have a little single pixel on top or bottom of letter. It really looks bad.

Looks like a bit of incompatibility between that font and ClearType. Try turning it off.

Check whether Lenovo offers an updated video driver.
