X220 Connects to AP "No Internet Connection" Intermittent

#1 Post by LionsgateAcademy » Thu Jun 30, 2011 5:22 pm

Hey,

My organization just purchased 120 E420's and 2 X220's. Upon the arrival of the X220's they seemed to access the internet using W7's wifi mgr, just fine. Then all of a sudden my machine and my co-workers machine, both X220's would sporadically lose internet access. They would still be able to access our local network (i.e.: printers, shared network folders and drives) but not connect to the internet.
We have previously had some staff computers exhibiting similar symptoms they were and SL510 and a TP Edge 17", we still haven't found a solution for these units.

When we try to connect the units to our student network, they work. This server is Windows server 2003

The server we are using is Windows Server 2008R2 for our staff server.

Any Ideas?

Check all the power management settings that are applicable to WiFi, including any in the device driver, and make sure that there is nothing set that might reduce power to the WiFi device.
