z61t ultrabay

#1 Post by Crazycow » Sun Jul 03, 2011 12:28 pm

hello everyone :)

does anyone knows which ultrabay the z61t has?
i get totaly different things because it seems there is a confusion on the internet, some z61 models have ultrabay enchanced while others have an ultrabay slim, so which is the case?
i measured the drive of my z61t and its 9.5mm so it should be ultrabay slim right?

also can an ultrabay slim sata hdd adapter be used on z61t?
if it is not the one, which adapter should i get to fit a second hdd on the ultrabay?

Your observations are correct. Z60/61t use Ultrabay Slim. All other flavors of Z60/61 (m/e/p) use Ultrabay Enhanced.

I am pretty sure the HDD adapter can be used in the Z61t. If it can be used in T/R60, Z61 should be able to take it as well.
Current: X220 4291-4BG, T410 2537-R46, T60 1952-F76, T60 2007-QPG, T42 2373-F7G
Collectibles: T430s (IPS FHD + Classic Keyboard), X32 (IPS Screen)
Retired: X61 7673-V2V, A31p w/ Ultrabay Numpad
Past: Z61t 9440-A23, T60 2623-D3U, X32 2884-M5U
