T43 Resource Conflic

#1 Post by wyldkao » Thu Jul 07, 2011 10:36 pm

Hi
One day, my T43(2668-I2V) boot fail and show some error message:
ERROR
RESOURCE CONFLIC-PCI ON MOTHERBOARD
BUS:0B,DEVICE:00,FUNCTION:04

ERROR
RESOURCE CONFLIC-PCI ON MOTHERBOARD
BUS:0B,DEVICE:00,FUNCTION:05

I do not know which device is "BUS:0B,DEVICE:00".
Who could tell me the device name or tell me the document include error message detail ?

Thanks!!

Will it boot a CD? If yes, run PC-Doctor and see if any test fails.

This being a T43, you may have a beginning problem with the Southbridge chip.
Remove keyboard, palmbezel and wifi-card.
Under the wifi card is a big Intel-chip (Southbridge).
Reconnect the keyboard, and put pressure on that chip, then try to start the laptop.
Try different corners.
If she now starts, there's your problem.
The solution: get the Southbridge chip professionally reballed, or get another mobo.

PC Card Interface ... IDE Interface ... the "Component not detected",
Based on this information, I agree with RBS that the Southbridge is the most likely failure point.
